Patrica Haglin Scholarship
The Patricia Haglin Scholarship fund was set up in 1993 to promote agricultural education in Washington State and to promote draft horses and mules to the young people who are our future audience and exhibitors. The Scholarship fund is supported by the different fund raising events during the year and by the proceeds of the Extravaganza.
All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for the Association Scholarship. Applications are available to any Washington state resident and/or a relative of a current Washington Draft Horse & Mule Association member. Membership in the Association is NOT required. At least one $500.00 scholarship is to be awarded each year at the Extravaganza. More $500.00 scholarships may be awarded at the Association's discretion.
Applicants must have a 3.0 grade point average. Both high school seniors and continuing college students may apply. To receive the scholarship, students must be enrolled at an accredited college, university or vocational school. While preference is given to agricultural students, others are encouraged to apply.
The deadline for applications is February 28th, with the award being announced at the Extravaganza. Application forms and full instructions are available here:
